hey pakmotion,
I just took a look at your site, it looks like you have not modified the template. You need to update the domain name in the site. I think I'm going to update the template so that you can modify the domain name from the conf file.

Hi Justin,
Will iphone template/mobile mod work with phpmotion V2 ? My site uses V2 as well as the cluster mod from Vimhost where I'm using two servers (main & media). The media files get uploaded to both servers. Do you know if this mobile mod would be able to work with my setup?
Thank You very much and do appreciate all your hard work.

Please send me a url so I can see what you are looking at. I'm guessing the converter script is not running, but i don't know because I don't know what errors you are seeing. Please post the errors. As far as where to add the redirect codes, insert them at line 40. right below the line " $show_member_videos = $config['show_member_videos'];" as far as the converter script, i could talk all day about it. Is there any particular question you have about it? thanks, -jb

Have you confirmed that that converter script is actually creating the mp4 file?
it looks like you have the template working fine, but now need to ensure that the converter script is actually creating the mp4 file.
you can do this by sshing into the server and running the command manually.
cd /path/to/uploads converter <name of existing flv file>
this should then create mp4 file with the same as the flv you entered above.
If the mp4 isn't created, which I believe is the case then you'll need to look at the script output to see if there are any errors or look at the script to ensure the variables are set correctly.

hi, i have the mod installed at mygoalrocks.com , using the directory /mob/ for the mobile site: mygoalrocks.com/mob/ .(however i have yet to enter the php rules for showing the mob site if on a mobile). Im not getting any MP4 files creating. I tried running the script in ssh (putty) but the result is -bash: converter: command not found . I have cd into the uploads folder before entering converter hbjhsbjhbdhbj.flv (this is an example of video file name). No MP4 files are being created but the libfaac is installed/enabled. Is there any solution you can offer? thanks.

Me again... I contacted Justin about this problem (see above entry.. the conversions not happening), and he sorted it out for me.. totally awesome!.. and it didnt take long. Turned out it was just a issue with the age of the flv files.
From what I understand, the converter script will always try to convert any files that have been uploaded in the past X minutes (I think the number entered in the script).. so any files that are older than X mins will be ignored. I think a "touch" in SSH on those files will help chances of getting the conversions happening.
Hope this helps some people, thanks again to Justin for a great script and brilliant help with getting it working ok. Top man!

The script defaults to looking at the most recent files (modified withing the past 5 mins) if you have files that were uploaded, you can either change the script or you can 'touch' all of the files. in the uploads dir you can issue the following command #touch *.flv you should now be able to run ./converter and it will convert all the files to mp4s. hope that helps.

I ran the command converter [name of flv file] but it returned: converter: command not found. I am in the uploads directory and converter is in there. I have CHMOD the file to 755 and have everything up and running except the converter actually converting to mp4. We are using this for a client project, and would be more than happy to donate heftily, If you could help me solve the problem. contact me at luke@filmdemic.com if you have time. Thanks Justin!

Hey guys, just giving everyone an update.
If you get the return: Unable to parse option value "128kb" - Invalid chars 'b' at the end of expression '128kb'
Then all you have to do is remove the b from the ffmpeg call in 'converter'.
Justin says newer versions of FFMPEG and x264 use k for unit instead of kb.
You may have other problems beyond that, but that will solve the parsing issue.
